If the Earth isn’t young, the Bible’s a lie

You aren’t ready for that yet? I wasn’t either until a couple of years ago. I am amazed at how much more glorious and interesting the world has become now that I am aware of the intimacy of God’s creation. It goes far beyond intelligent design. This is creation beyond our comprehension—from nothing. The evolutionists think you won’t recognize that the big bang starts with that highly compressed speck of energy and matter. Where did that come from?

Roger goes far beyond the larger picture

The one which really touched me brought up fond memories of my youth. Our family used to go canoeing up near the Canadian border in the 1950s. This was far before the Boundary Waters were even thought of [AFAIK]. But I remember being struck, even back then as a pre-teen, that there was no sediment in those lakes. We’d drop anchor, and it would clank on bare rock. The anchor we had barely worked. What I didn’t know or recognize is that this simple fact means the lakes are new—maybe a couple thousand years at most.

Did you ever wonder why government arrived so late to Norway, and Finland? Maybe the glaciers didn’t melt back until the time of Jesus or so.

Why does water expand just before it freezes? I’ll bet that one never struck you. It’s a delightful and immensely wise aspect of creation.

As you can see I had trouble formatting this book because I kept reading it.

The joy of clarity

The creationist timeline really makes sense in Roger’s book. Sagan was wrong. There is no billions and billions of years {though the miles figures seem to be correct}. We serve an awesome God. He is much larger than most of us raised in the humanist heydays of the 50s, 60s, and 70s thought possible.

But then Time thought it was certain that “God was Dead”—though the cover seemed to simply ask the question. Almost all of us grew up in schools which assumed the supremacy of humanist thought. Of course, they never told us that. It was simply presented as truth. Dewey’s group from the 1930s succeeded beyond their hopes with the concept of public education. We now just assume the earth is old. We never see that idea as a desperate grab for enough room to make preposterous theories even remotely possible.

One of the linchpins of a more accurate understanding of the truth of creation is the idea of a young earth. It is so easy to prove that the earth is young. Its age is measured in thousands of years, not millions, or billions. Roger will really help you understand the truth of this. It’s an excellent book, and you should read it.
