Wisdom comes through life lived
Wisdom comes through life lived in obedience to the Lord and His Holy Spirit. As a creative person, the story of Bezalel and Oho’liab has always been an inspiration.
Here’s a quote from a devotional I received this morning: “Wisdom first appears in the Bible in connection with Bezalel and his craftsmen (Exodus 35-36), who were tasked with constructing the elements and vestments of the Tabernacle. They were artisans. They are also the first people to be filled with the Spirit of God.”
And Moses said to the people of Israel, “See, the Lord has called by name Bez′alel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; 31 and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, 32 to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze, 33 in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every skilled craft. 34 And he has inspired him to teach, both him and Oho′liab the son of Ahis′amach of the tribe of Dan. 35 He has filled them with ability to do every sort of work done by a craftsman or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet stuff and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer. Exodus 35: 30-35

It struck me hard this morning, because my current book on Niche Publishing for Believers Using InDesign is an attempt to share what I have learned about print books and ePUBs over the past 53 years. My first paid work (after I graduated in 1971) was for a powerful occult publisher in St. Paul. I had no clue. The Lord has gradually taught me how to work under the power of the Holy Spirit. He had a tough one to deal with. But it is amazing what He has done with this old drug-crazed, hippy artist. He has totally transformed my life, and what a joy it is!
