“A Dodge, a Twist, and a Tobacconist”

I enjoyed the read. Adding the characters from other books was merely a distraction for me. The constantly changing point of view was technically impressive, but only a bit confusing to this reader. Of course, I would have liked much more detail on the gadgets, but then (as they are impossible) it’s likely that Sophronia saw that as unnecessary labor. It was a fun read. It’s a joy to have believing good guys.

Most people will probably get more excited about it than I am. It’s slick and fashionable, and a fun ride. If you like steampunk, you’ll love this.

I have to admit I wonder about the attraction of this type of fiction. The latest version of the Three Musketeers comes to mind. In this case, it is easy to see how the Lord used Sophronia in His work. Yet it remains a fun tale, well told. Most current, so-called Christian fiction doesn’t measure up. This one does. Read it.
