Christian allegory: Disciple’s Quest by Walter F. Cantrell
Yes, this is a contemporary and well done Pilgrim’s Progress. It’s standard evangelical doctrine. The only disappointment is the sadly normal reduction of the Sword of the Spirit to quoting scripture.
It’s nice to have a more modern rendition of this type of tale. I enjoyed the tale a lot.

I gave it four stars because it’s predictable. Yet it’s clearly a cut above the normal quality of this type of story. It kept my interest throughout.
Spiritually, it’s solidly four-star as well
Walter has done a good work, and you’ll enjoy it.
