If you’ve not read any of Steve’s Crossfire novels, you’re in for a treat

These are radical, spec ops warfare, spiritual battles that test your credibility until you realize that, “Hey! I’ve had encounters like that.” or “That’s how I talk to the Lord.” Stephen has just kicked it up a few notchs—well, a bit more than that. OK. They’re over the top fun.

Every one I read is a wild ride like that. The good guys are tried and experienced warriors who meet the Lord, get filled with the Spirit, and then the Lord starts using them as global troubleshooters—supernatually endowed to take down evil enemy groups and leaders. The spiritual battles are graphic. The latest one I read, Faith Crossfire, has the team in a knock-down spiritual battle with the enemy in Africa— on the level of Elijah’s battle with the priests of Baal, but these are Muslim terrorists [or an off-shoot thereof] trying to kill the team and all the Christians in a nation that seems an awful lot like Sudan.

I’m about a third of the way through the series. It is great, clean Christian entertainment with a lot of action and some great people. It would make an excellent comic book series, but then they are not my books.

#1: Colorado Crossfire 99¢

A young corporate executive and his new wife are drawn into a dangerous world when they defend an innocent man being visciously attacked. As Jack Malone becomes the guardian of an object that the enemy of mankind wants very badly their world collapses around them. Overwhelmed and subject to pursuit by the police and the gang they have nowhere to turn. #2: International Crossfire 99¢

Jack and Laura Malone embark on a walk with the Lord in an attempt to help the homeless in Denver. They discover that many homeless children go missing every year from the streets and no one cares. #3: Israeli Crossfire 99¢

The Crossfire Team assists the Israeli Mossad as it combats a terrorist group that has penetrated Israel security and is mounting a horrific attack in Tel Aviv. They quickly become involved in the defense and state politics of Israel as they attempt to save friends, relatives, and an entire nation from a deadly war of terror.
