Biblical truth is a secondary product not a primary source
Biblical truth is a secondary product not the primary source. It’s not true because it’s in the Bible. It’s in the Bible because it is true.** Jesus, who is Truth, had it placed there by His Holy Spirit.
It’s an important distinction. Now that I no longer watch live TV (except for occasional spiritual events streamed live), I find myself roaming YouTube, looking for preaching the Lord wants me to watch. I can find quite a few Bible-centered preachers. They are often fairly good. But there is a real problem.
The Bible is to lead you to Truth, it’s not the only trustworthy source of it
As soon as a preacher shakes his Bible at me, proclaiming it is the only trustworthy source of Truth I am saddened. That’s not true, at all. It is an excellent collection of historical truths, up to the sixties AD. But there is only one Truth, and His name is Jesus. Yeshua is truth. He told us that. It’s recorded in the Gospel of John.
In First John, the same human led by the same Holy Spirit writes, “But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie…abide in Him.” 1 John 2: 27 NKJV That anointing is Jesus, in the form of the Holy Spirit.
Biblical truth is a secondary product not a primary source
In the near future, it is likely the Bible will be made illegal again. If that happens, you need a close conversational relationship with Yeshua the Messiah. You need the anointing of the Holy Spirit, who is the form of Jesus now living within us—if we know Him.
The Bible is a superb resource of Truth. You need to read it a lot—every day at a minimum, the entire Bible, several times, in several versions. It will help you identify the real Truth when He speaks to you.
