I got the Kindle version to check it out. The fixed layout comic book format worked fairly well on the iPad. But even here, a lot of the type was pretty small. It was also only in landscape layout which I rarely use. It was irritating to be forced into that.
This is not the bible, this is biblical fiction
The drawings are good. The story is one of my favorites: Creation. Many liberties are taken. Many of the things said I disagree with, some are clearly stretching the Truth beyond acceptable limits—maybe.
Spiritually, this is dangerous!
A believer could use this to share the truth, but the images and story told are so far from normal understanding that it really needs the interpretation. The pre-Genesis 1:1 portion of this tale shows a bit of truth, but it’s pretty speculative. The idea of showing God the Father as the standard, white, European, hippy Jesus is pretty far-fetched.
But this is a well-done comic. Many may find it fun and enjoyable. But if your children get a copy, make sure you read it so you can answer their questions.
