Christian mid-school fantasy: Of Mobsters and Magic (A Prince of Lynvia Book 2) by Chris Solaas
This one is also great fun to read. The children continue to grow in character. The state of the worlds becomes more clear. This book is even more funny than the first.

Fantasy & superheroes, does it get better than that?
But these are not comic book characters. These superheroes are like you and me—sorta. We have some new bad guys, surly, nasty, yet comical mobsters. Chris has come up with a new mix that is quite entertaining for a mid-school book—or any book.
In Lynvia, Kyne begins dealing with his coming kingship. Then the dragons get very upset. Training new magicians is always a problem. This is fun fantasy with an urban twist. There’s always the connection to American reality.
Spiritually, I’ll give it three stars with a qual
I still see nothing of a savior or Jesus, though He’s implied, sorta. The intention is Christian, but it just never really tips over the edge into saving faith. But, I enjoyed the book enough to be generous.
Again, Chris gave me a copy with no restrictions. Again his children did the covers, and it’s obvious. But, it’s a good read…you’ll enjoy it, as will your children: boys or girls.
