You can’t write redemptive fiction, without His power
I want to start with a little quote from John Follette in “Golden Grain”:
Education is good, but I want it to be where it belongs. It is the mechanism, the mechanics, the world of flesh and time. It does not belong in the realm of Spirit. Therefore, the things of the Spirit of God are not known, nor understood by these mechanics. They cannot be; they are diametrically opposed.
You can’t learn how to write powerful fiction which changes lives
Only the Holy Spirit is able to do that. You can learn the mechanics, and you should. You can get excellent editing, and you should do that also. Yes, you need production proofing and professional book production skills. But, none of that will change the lives of your readers.
That only comes as you mature in the Lord, and you become one with Him in a way which allows Him to truly inspire (in spirit in the Latin) you as you write. Then you’ll experience and understand how true creativity works.
